Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the VusicOBX 2024 Summer Concert Series. Volunteers are critical to a successful event! Our volunteers have proven this beyond any doubt, helping to make VusicOBX shows an amazing experience for all who attend. Whether you are a seasoned returning volunteer or a new volunteer, join a stellar team of folks working to make this year’s shows even better!
Volunteer Registration
Volunteer registration is online. The online application allows you to specify areas where you would like to work, the times you are available, and any special skills or background you bring to volunteering. We have organized volunteer opportunities in 11 key categories as follows:
- Box Office
- Concessions
- Debris Control
- Floater
- Merch
- Parking
- Security
- Setup/Breakdown
- Sponsor/VIP Check-In
- Ticket Scanning
- Volunteer Check-In
Volunteer Perks
As a volunteer, you will be part of the behind-the-scenes magic that brings our shows to life, contributing to an unforgettable experience for guests. You will build connections and friendships with fellow volunteers and staff members, create lasting memories, receive appreciation and recognition for your hard work and dedication, and enjoy access to festival activities and performances during designated breaks or off-duty hours, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere you helped create. Volunteers also get some special perks! Volunteers who work one 4-hour shift are entitled to the following:
- Free entry to a show of your choice, i.e., work one shift and earn a ticket to attend that show or another show. Work multiple shifts and earn multiple tickets for you and your friends and family!
- Free entrance to VusicVillage where you can enjoy the show from the best spot in the park with the coolest vibe, private entrance, less crowd, less lines, easy access to great stage views, VIP bar, VIP food/concessions, and separate, private bathrooms
- Free VusicOBX crew t-shirt (one per season)
- 25% discount on VusicOBX merchandise
- Access to volunteer area with drinks and snacks
- Volunteers who work the setup/breakdown shifts will be offered a meal
General Volunteer Responsibilities
While each volunteer team has its particularities, there are some general responsibilities that apply to all positions.
- Smile and Be Helpful! You are the first impression many guests will receive.
- Arrive onsite at least 20 minutes prior to your shift.
- Check in at the volunteer check-in area before each shift.
- Work your entire shift. Please schedule meals and social activities outside of volunteer hours.
- Notify us if there are any changes in your availability as soon as possible.
- Familiarize yourself with the task descriptions.
- Thoroughly train your shift replacement on the task.
- Perform your duties with the utmost level of professionalism, courtesy, and customer service.
- Be sober and drug-free, not consume alcohol, smoke or vape, and obey all laws during shift.
- Wear VusicOBX crew t-shirt during shift only.
